Julia adopts a non-judgemental, pragmatic and holistic approach to working with clients. She has worked with a variety of inpatient and outpatient clients in both community and forensic settings.
Julia is an LGBTQIAP+ friendly practitioner.
Julia has experience in working with a number of clinical presentations and psychosocial difficulties, including:
OCD, anxiety and phobias, depression and mood disorders, personality disorders, grief and loss, gender and sexuality, body image and binge eating, trauma and abuse, parenting, stress, self-esteem, assertiveness, anger management, problematic/offending behaviour.
Julia utilises a variety of evidence-based approaches including:
- cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
- exposure and response prevention (ERP)
- acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
-eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)
- schema therapy,
- emotion focused therapy
- social and coping skills training
Julia's fee is $250 per fifty-minute session. Initial sessions are 80 minutes
at a fee of $360.
You do not require a referral to see Julia, however a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP may entitle you to Medicare rebates of $141.85 for ten sessions within
twelve months.
The full fee is processed in session and the rebate can be credited to your nominated bank account by Medicare.
Private health rebates may also be available, depending on your level of cover.
This is not a bulk billing practice.
Julia is available for
face to face appointments at the
Middle Park Clinic on Thursdays.
She is also available Tuesdays - Thursdays for online Telehealth consultations from the convenience of your home or office.
